24th Annual Trees of Hope
There are few things worse than spending time in the hospital. Spending time there during the Christmas holidays is quite a bit harder. In an effort to add some holiday cheer to an otherwise sterile hospital room, the Rick Pankow Foundation is offering the 24th annual Trees of Hope!
The Foundation has made arrangements with EvergreenHealth to deliver 12” live potted Alberta Spruce Trees to the rooms of 140 patients in December. Tags and tinsel will brighten up the trees and the rooms. We want to give patients something live and full of hope to take home with them after the hospital stay. Ideally they will be able to find a spot to plant the tree in their yard and to watch it grow.
The trees are generously donated by Jason LaRonde, owner of Pacificia Nurseries! Our goal is to have all 140 trees sponsored by supporters of the Foundation for a suggested donation of $125 each. This will raise $17,500 in donations for families. It is a way to continue sharing the spirit of Christmas with a family going through a difficult time and a way to raise funds for the Foundation so we can continue to support families with meaningful donation amounts.
