Financial Assistance for Families Impacted by Cancer

EvergreenHealth Social Worker, Sara, shares how RPF helps patients

The Rick Pankow Foundation helps approximately 40 households annually, awarding flexible funds for housing (rent, mortgage, hotel, inpatient care), utilities, phone, transportation, insurance, and medical bills to keep individuals and families afloat while focusing on treatment and recovery.

Each holiday season, Rick Pankow Foundation volunteers deliver 250 miniature Alberta Spruce Trees to cancer patients at Kirkland EvergreenHealth, sharing hope and encouragement during the holiday season.

Offering emotional relief from the economic strains of treatment, our recipients have the opportunity to focus on their health, families and wellbeing with decreased worry. It is our goal to offer encouragement to our community challenged by a health issue by filling a financial gap in need, and to have a straightforward referral, application, and awarding process that can benefit the whole family.

College Scholarships

The Rick Pankow Foundation awards four scholarships annually to high school and college-age students preparing for careers in the green industry & horticultural fields. This was born out of Rick Pankow’s love for nature and making landscapes beautiful.
